Feeding Support
Feeding support
Specialist feeding support for breastfeeding, bottle feeding and combination feeding.
Feeding your baby can be beautiful, emotional, confusing and demanding, sometimes all in the same day.
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, I offer calm, skilled and non-judgemental support to help you feed your baby in a way that works for you and your family.

Intro
Support for your feeding journey
Most babies are born with the instinct to feed, but that does not always mean feeding feels easy straight away.
Some babies struggle to coordinate feeding at the breast. Some parents need help with latch, supply, expressing, bottle feeding, mixed feeding, pain, weight gain or simply understanding what is normal.
Both first-time and experienced parents can benefit from clear guidance and reassurance in pregnancy, after birth and through the early months.
My role is to help you feel informed, supported and more confident, without pressure or judgement.

Continuity Of Care
Consistent support when you need it
I offer feeding support in hospital or in the comfort of your own home.
Support can begin during pregnancy, in the early days after birth, or later if feeding becomes difficult or your needs change.
I provide continuity of care, so you do not have to keep retelling your story or piecing together conflicting advice. We look at what is happening for you and your baby, then create a plan that feels realistic, safe and manageable.

During Pregnancy
Preparing to feed your baby
A prenatal feeding consultation gives you time to prepare before your baby arrives.
This can be especially helpful if you are hoping to breastfeed, have had a difficult feeding experience before, are expecting multiples, have a planned caesarean, have medical considerations, or simply want to feel more prepared.
Antenatal feeding support may include
- The benefits of breastfeeding and responsive feeding
- How milk production works
- How supply is established
- Positioning and attachment
- Normal newborn feeding behaviour
- How birth can affect feeding
- Expressing and storing breast milk
- Bottle feeding and combination feeding options
- Preparing for the early days
- Building feeding confidence before your baby arrives
After Birth
Feeding support at home or in hospital
Postnatal consultations are tailored to you, your baby and your feeding goals.
If appropriate, I can also communicate with your GP, midwife or health visitor.

Tongue Tie
Assessment and referral where needed
If it appears that tongue tie may be affecting feeding, I can carry out an oral assessment and talk you through what I am seeing.
Where needed, I can refer you to your local NHS tongue tie clinic or to a trusted private tongue tie specialist in your area.
I will also support you with feeding before and after any referral, as tongue tie care is only one part of the feeding picture.

My Approach
Calm, respectful and practical care
I do not believe in forcing one way of feeding. I work with you to understand your hopes, your baby’s needs, your emotional wellbeing and your practical circumstances.
