Birth Doula
Birth doula support
Calm, continuous support through labour, birth and the early days with your baby.
As your birth doula, I provide one-to-one support throughout your labour. I offer reassurance, emotional and physical comfort, and clear information about what is happening, while helping communication feel easier between you, your partner and your medical team.
My role is to help you feel safe, supported and understood as your birth unfolds.

Intro
Support that stays with you
Birth is a deeply personal experience. Many women remember not only how their baby arrived, but how they felt during that time.
I believe that when a woman feels respected, listened to and safe, she is more able to move through birth with confidence. That experience can stay with her long after the day itself, shaping the early days with her baby and how she feels stepping into motherhood.
My support is calm, steady and practical. I bring experience from many different births, along with my own journey into motherhood, to offer care that feels grounded and compassionate.
Why It Matters
You deserve to feel supported
Labour can be intense, emotional and unpredictable. Having someone beside you who knows your wishes, understands birth, and can stay calm can make a real difference.
As your doula, I am there to support your choices, protect your space where possible, and help you feel informed rather than overwhelmed.
I do not replace your midwife, doctor or partner. I work alongside them, offering continuity, reassurance and practical support throughout your birth experience.

Continuity Of Care
Before, during and after birth
Steady support from the weeks before labour begins through to the early postnatal days.
On-call support
I am on call for you 24 hours a day from 38 to 42 weeks of pregnancy. This can be flexible if your baby arrives earlier or later.
You can contact me when you think labour may be starting, when you need reassurance, or when you are unsure what is happening. You will not need to work it all out alone.
Ongoing contact
From the time you book with me until 8 weeks after your baby is born, I offer regular contact by phone, text or email.
By the time labour begins, I want you to feel that I am someone familiar, steady and easy to have beside you.
Postnatal sessions
After birth, we usually meet for two postnatal sessions. These visits give you space to rest, ask questions and talk through how things are feeling.
The early days can feel tender and overwhelming. You do not have to move through them without support.

Antenatal Sessions
Preparing for birth in a way that feels right for you
We usually meet for two antenatal sessions before your baby arrives. These sessions are shaped around you.
Preparation is not about creating a perfect plan. It is about helping you feel informed, calm and able to make decisions if things change.
Antenatal sessions may include
- Your hopes, preferences and concerns
- Understanding labour and birth
- The stages of labour
- Birth physiology
- Pain relief options, including benefits and risks
- Labour positions and comfort techniques
- Breathing, relaxation and visualisation
- Feeding and early newborn care
- Shaping your birth preferences

Birth Support
Continuous support through labour and birth
When labour begins, I stay with you throughout your labour and birth, offering calm emotional and physical support.
This may include comfort measures, breathing support, encouragement, help with positions, reassurance for your partner, or simply being a quiet, steady presence in the room.
I support your choices without judgement, whether your birth is medicated or unmedicated, vaginal or caesarean, straightforward or more complex. My focus is always the same: helping you feel informed, respected and safe.
My Approach
There is no right way to give birth
My role is not to direct your experience or push a particular kind of birth. It is to support you calmly, consistently and without judgement. Whether your birth unfolds as you hoped or takes an unexpected turn, I will stay focused on helping you feel held, respected and supported.
Experience

Reassurance
You remain at the centre
You are the person giving birth. Your voice matters.
I can help you ask questions, understand your options and feel less overwhelmed by what is happening around you.
I do not make decisions for you. I do not speak over your medical team. I do not take over your partner’s role.
I am there to support you, gently and steadily, so you feel less alone.
